The Burden of the Divine
Fruit of the Gods is a paradoxical study of weight and offering. The sculpture presents a porous, bulbous mass that feels both organic and volcanic, as if unearthed from an ancient strata. Its dark, pumice-like texture suggests a harvest that is heavy with history or perhaps charred by the very divinity it references. The delicate, wired handle creates a tension—is this a vessel to be carried, or a weight that anchors the spirit? It challenges the viewer to consider what we receive from the "gods" and the physical toll of bearing such gifts.
